SCORELAB

Terms of Service

Last updated: July 8, 2026

1. Agreement

By downloading or using ScoreLab, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference. If you do not agree, do not use ScoreLab.

2. The service

ScoreLab is an educational app for SAT and ACT preparation: practice questions, lessons, progress tracking, score projections, and an optional AI coach. All practice content is original, AI-authored material written in the style of these tests. ScoreLab is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the College Board or ACT, Inc., and using ScoreLab does not guarantee any particular test score or score improvement.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use ScoreLab. If you are under 18, you may use ScoreLab only with the involvement of a parent or guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf.

4. Accounts

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

We may suspend or block accounts, devices, or sessions that violate this section.

6. ScoreLab Pro (subscriptions)

7. AI coach

8. Your content

You own the messages you send to the AI coach. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process that content solely to provide the service — to generate a response and return it to you. We do not store your coaching messages after the response is delivered, and we do not use your content to train AI models.

9. Our intellectual property

ScoreLab — including its name, design, code, question bank, lessons, and strategy content — is owned by the operator and protected by law. Except for your personal, non-commercial use of the app, no license to our content is granted.

10. Third-party services

ScoreLab uses Anthropic (AI), Apple (sign-in and payments), Google (sign-in), Supabase (accounts), Railway (hosting), and Resend (email). Your use of those services through ScoreLab is also subject to their terms. Lesson video links open YouTube, where Google's terms apply.

11. Termination

You may stop using ScoreLab at any time and may request account deletion. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms. Sections that by their nature survive termination (including 7–9 and 12–16) survive.

12. Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. ScoreLab does not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that AI-generated content will be accurate. ScoreLab does not warrant any particular test score, score improvement, or admission outcome.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or lost profits or data. Total liability for all claims is limited to the greater of one hundred US dollars ($100) or the amounts you paid for ScoreLab Pro in the twelve months before the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or liabilities; in those jurisdictions the above limitations apply to the maximum extent permitted by law and may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have as a consumer under applicable law.

14. Indemnity

You will indemnify and hold the operator harmless from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, your use of the service, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

15. Governing law and venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York, and you consent to their jurisdiction. If you are a consumer in a jurisdiction whose law requires otherwise, mandatory consumer protections of your jurisdiction remain unaffected.

16. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be posted with a new "Last updated" date, and your continued use of ScoreLab after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
